Designer – project manager

He is responsible for his assigned project from design to production.
He draws up the plans for the project’s elements, for the fabrication, for the subcontractor according to the client’s specifications, for the entire project.
He prepares and validates the fabrication plans before they are sent to production.
He may be required to travel in order to take measurements.
He presents high-performance technical solutions and strives to optimise costs with respect to budgets.
He facilitates the exchange of information among the project’s different actors (fabrication, logistics, supply).
He validates the project’s contents with the estimator.
He communicates with the client to define the design and validate the plans.
He participates in the validation of the reverse scheduling with the workshop manager.
He regularly visits the workshop to communicate with teams about technical problems and conducts weekly follow-up meetings for projects.
Through his suggestions, he contributes to product improvement
He is the technical contact person during assembly tests.

Capable of conducting a thorough design project study while meeting the demands of the client’s specifications.
Professional diploma required: ideally a Diploma of Applied Arts from Ecole Boulle, BTS (Advanced Technician’s Certificate) in spatial design or architectural design
Technical knowledge of the fabrication of multi-material furnishings.
Required qualifications: rigour, good interpersonal skills, methodical, detail-oriented
Team player,
Good knowledge of common woodworking design software: TopSolid, AutoCad.
English proficiency is a plus.

Manage a team of wood workers in the workshop and during installations.
Assemble and fit furnishings, retail spaces, corners, luxury furnishings, according to plans.
Carry out self-directed verifications to ensure that furnishings comply with quality standards.
Respect deadlines: Allotted time, client deadlines
Deliver furnishings to their designated packing zone
Through his suggestions, he contributes to product improvement
Follow and uphold security recommendations

Know how to read simple and sophisticated plans
Minimum of 5 years experience in furniture fittings.
Professional diploma required: Certificate of professional competence or Advanced technician’s certificate in joinery – woodwork or wood furnishing arrangements or wood furniture

Establish industrial estimates based on technical documents (provide the ERP with EXCEL format estimate (CEGID, for small and mid-sized industries)
Draw up technical and commercial letters relating to estimates and orders that he negotiates with clientèle.
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preliminary studies of projects
Participates in project launching together with the design office
Transfers invoice and planning elements to the appropriate services
He draws up a commercial estimate based on a technical analysis of the project (plans, client specifications…) and works with different contact persons (clients, architects, subcontractors, internal purchasing services, Design office…).
He transfers useful information to the services concerned (Sales, invoices, planning, accounting…)
He analyses calls for tender, determines the feasibility and potential risks for the company, consults with suppliers/subcontractors, estimates cost and draws up the offer. He presents the offer to general management for validation and participates in the sales negotiation

Experienced in reading floor plans + using design software such as AutoCad
Mastery of IT tools: EXCEL and ideally CEGID software for small and mid-sized industries
Professionalism and sales aptitude propitious to good client interactions and teamwork.

Familiarity with common metalworking and metal manufacturing machinery: brakes, saws, millers, lathes,…
Required qualifications: detail-oriented, rigour, reliable, methodical, professionalism, ponctual
Team player,
Excellent knowledge of metals: ferrous (steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous (brass, copper, aluminium), alloys. Knowledge of composite materials is a plus.
Complete independence when using TIG and MIG welding machines.
